Letter of 2/10/2020 Happy Valentine's Day!

2/10/21

Hello Yoga friends!

I wanted to send a fun email that isn’t full of articles and links.

So, instead I made You a Valentine’s Card.  Print this up and color it! Give it to a friend! Or send it to someone who might need to do some coloring!

I know many people enjoyed the thanksgiving coloring cards.

For the last several years I have been bringing shortbread cookies to class on Valentine’s Day. I can’t bring cookies this year…so here’s the recipe.

This is a simple, but decadent and delicious little cookie.  Great for sharing this time of year with a cup of tea or coffee or maybe some ice cream or fruit at desert.  Enjoy!

And always, thanks for all of your support,

Julie

Shortbread

1 cup unsalted butter-at room temperature

1 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup sugar

2 cups all purpose flour

In medium bowl, cream butter, sugar and salt. Add flour and mix until cohesive.  Form the dough into a long roll 1 1/2 or 2 inches in diameter. Cover with wax paper or parchment. Chill until firm.  Slice into thin slices about 1/4 inch thick.  Bake at 300 about 20 minutes.
