Letter of 8/7/2020 Yoga notes about Breathing

8/7/20

Yoga friends,

I hope this finds you well. I just finished reading Breath: The New Science of a A Lost Art by James Nestor.  I would highly recommend it.  Even if you aren’t a total breathing/anatomy/yoga geek like me.  It is very read- able. I am not sure if the library has it.   But I did see that is available as an audio book and he reads it.

We are going to add some of these breathing practices to our yoga classes.

Here is a short video of how to clear your nose.  Very interesting. I would love to know what you think.  So, please give it a try! I am going to try to teach it at the beginning of class for a few weeks.

Decongest the nose breathing practice video. https://youtu.be/cU4ls5ku4Rg

And one more interesting thing.  If you have ever wondered about how hip replacement works (or even just how the hip works).  Here its a really cool video all done with play dough. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=3231563026881772

Here’s to good Health,
